Meet the Founder 

Dr. Poonam Darswal completed her MBBS and MD in Anaesthesia from Jammu University, laying a strong academic and clinical foundation. She went on to pursue advanced fellowships in Oncosurgical Anaesthesia and the Indian Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia (IDRA), further broadening her professional skillset. Over the years, she has built a broad spectrum of expertise across both clinical and non-clinical domains — spanning advanced perioperative and regional anaesthesia, leadership, teaching, mentoring, research, quality improvement, and healthcare systems exposure in India and the UK.

Her quest to challenge herself against the highest international standards led her to the EDAIC (European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care) — one of the most prestigious global examinations in anaesthesia. She achieved results that fall within the excellent academic benchmark:

• Part I: Paper A – 83.67%, Paper B – 82%

• Part II (Maastricht Oral): 76/80

All of these were achieved in a single attempt, reflecting not only her knowledge but also her perseverance and exam strategy.

This success opened doors for Dr. Darswal in the UK healthcare system, enabling her to secure senior-level posts and laying the academic foundation of her CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) application, which she has successfully submitted and is currently awaiting the GMC’s decision.

As the founder of targetedaic, she has channelled her academic achievements and career experiences into creating a platform that empowers anaesthetists globally. With a passion for teaching and mentoring, she has guided countless trainees to approach the EDAIC with confidence, clarity, and focus. Her mission is to ensure that others can also transform perseverance into excellence through structured, high-quality, exam-focused preparation.
